“The soul—light as a feather, fluid as water, innocent as a child—responds to every moment of grace like a floating balloon.”

-Jean-Pierre de Caussade

Welcome fellow pilgrims!

We all need a bit of grace in our lives.  Because we are all too human, it certainly is not easy to live a life of grace.   It's not a smooth road, with all its rocky paths and detours, to live that life of grace that God promises us. But if you join me in my journey, we can both discover how God can bless us with his grace and how we in turn can bless others.  Just as it was meant to be.

“The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” (Isaiah 58:11)

What God Hath Promised

God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through,
God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

God hath not promised we shall not know
Toil and temptation, trouble and woe;
He hath not told us we shall not bear
Many a burden, many a care.

God hath not promised smooth roads and wide,
Swift, easy travel, needing no guide;
Never a mountain rocky and steep,
Never a river turbid and deep.

But God hath promised strength for the day,
Rest for the labor, light for the way,
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
